2002 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS, CARDIFF, WALES
JULY 13 DAY ONE
The opening rounds of the 2002 European Touch Championships were played in perfect Welsh summer weather, the sun was shining, it was warm and the
clouds & winds stayed away for most of the day. and the University of Cardiff's playing "pitches" were in excellent condition. The March Past
included Mens, Womens & Mixed representative teams from the European nations - England, Scotland, France, Jersey Island, and host Wales, plus invitational team from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the Colonials (representing combined aussies & kiwis).

Day two Finals Day:

The finals were played in fabulous weather and a good crowd attended. Australia won the rest of the world championship trophy by winning the Mens Open Division (senior mens), the Womens open (Senior Womens) and the mens 35 years Australian Masters). The Senior Mixed played a great final but went down to the New Zealand Mixed team from Canterbury 4 to 2, this was a great effort as
the young new Zealanders were very fast and skillfull, the results are as follows
