National Touch League
WAYVILLE DRAW |
| 2002 has seen the introduction of a new draw format for the Open Divisions at the National Touch League. The new draw has allowed for the introduction of a super pool with the top four positioned teams after three rounds having an opportunity to compete against each other and still make the quarter final series. In the Mens Division the teams have been ranked as following: Group 101 1. Cobras 2. Sharks 3. Mets 4. Cyclones Group 102 1. Razorbacks 2. Suns 3. Rebels 4. Eagles Group 103 1. Hornets 2. Crusaders 3. Scorpions 4. Barbarians In the Womens Division the teams have been ranked as following: Group 101 1. Suns 2. Rebels 3. Cobras 4. Sharks Group 102 1. Mets 2. Scorpions 3. Eagles 4. Razorbacks Group 103 1. Barbarians 2. Cyclones 3. Hornets 4. Crusaders In the Mixed Division the teams have been ranked as following: Group 101 1. Sharks 2. Scorpions 3. Cobras 4. Mets Group 102 1. Razorbacks 2. Cyclones 3. Eagles 4. Suns The feature of the new draw has allowed the top four teams to make up the the seedings one to four in the quarter final and also to allow the two best performed teams from groups 102 and 103 to qualify for the quarter finals. These last four positions are predetermined from the previous finishing positions from the 2001 competition. The challenging feature of the draw ensures that every game played at the National Touch League has a bearing on just how high a team can finish and where you will end up in the draw for the 2003 National Touch League.
