 The Australian Youth Tour of New Zealand's South Island traveled to Dunedin on Tuesday 20 January, to compete against the Otago Touch Association teams. The matches were competitive with the strong fit Army teams competing well for much of the matches in all divisions. The Australian womens 18s and 16s teams were again forced to play teams comprising mainly of men. As the sport is still growing in many parts the South Island, womens competition is limited. The teams will be looking forward to playing against womens only teams in Christchurch on Thursday night, when they play the very strong Canterbury club teams.
