AUSTRALIAN YOUTH TEAMS TESTED IN FIRST MATCHES

The Australian Youth teams started their Trans Tasman campaign in trying circumstances in Invercargill today, against teams from the Southern Touch Association.

In weather more suited to winter Touch than Summer, the teams played in cold and wet conditions at Invercargill's main Rugby Stadium.

The young Australians were slow to start after traveling for two days from Christchurch and Queenstown.

The teams played two games against willing opposition at Homestead Stadium, in Invercargal.
