 Director of Selectors Cathy Gray, says the selection process was anything but easy. "The coaches and selectors had a difficult task as they were so many talented players that were available." "We are really happy with the teams we've chosen, we feel we've selected very balanced teams with the right skills, attitude and commitment to match it with the New Zealand sides next January." Mens Coach Colm Maguire also agreed that selecting the team was hard work. "It was a very difficult process, but at the end of the day we think we've picked a team that's strong enough to win against New Zealand and then launch us into the Youth World Cup in 2005."
