| The Gold Coast Sharks were easily the best performing side at the 2003 ASICS NTL making four of the five grand finals and winning two championships. In the men's opens the Sharks defeated the Mets four touchdowns to two after trailing 2-1 at halftime. The Brisbane Cobras are the women's open champions for 2003 after defeating the mets. The Cobras came from behind to win 6-5 in a drop off. In the mixed open the Scorpions beat the Sharks 7-5 after leading for the whole game. In a tight contest in the men's 20's the Sharks beat the Southern Suns 6-5 after trading the touchdowns for most of the game. In the women's 20's the Hunter Western Hornets continued their good form into the final to beat the Sharks three touchdowns to two in a close hard fought game. |
