| Wednesday 7 November 2001 - Bay of Plenty The Australian teams battled the elements and determined opposition in Rotorua on Wednesday against the Bay of Plenty representative teams. The results were mixed with the mens and womens teams winning well, meanwhile the Bay of Plenty mixed team demonstrated why it has won 9 New Zealand Touch championships. In torrential rain, the Australian mens and womens teams won their respective matches, whilst the mixed team could not overcome the weather and a gritty Bay of Plenty mixed team, going down in a tight match.
