ATA GAME DEVELOPMENT POSITIONS AVAILABLE
The Australian Touch Association (ATA) has recently undergone a rigorous audit of the delivery of Touch football throughout Australia. A focus area of the outcome report was game development and its affect at the grass roots level of the sport.

The ATA is now seeking written expressions of interest from individuals for voluntary positions in the Game Development Division of the ATA.

It is anticipated that the game development personnel will meet face to face twice annually, as well as telephone conference meetings. The individual Directors will also hold portfolio specific meetings, usually twice annually, and may be required to attend major national and state events.

The role will be challenging and rewarding at a time when the sport is undergoing major structural and delivery change. The roles include but are not limited to the following area:

* Policy and procedure development, implementation and monitoring;
* State, Territory, Regional, Local association and NTL Permit relationships;
* Lead the implementation of game development initiatives;
* Volunteer appointments;
* Develop expertise in the all areas of the sport;
* Improve the opportunities available to all participants in the sport;
* Develop and achieve the ATA's strategic objectives through the implementation of game development programs;
* Assist Constituent Body, Regional and Local associations to develop the game.

The position descriptions are attached together with the ATA Game Development Division structure.

Written applications should address the key competencies for each of the positions. Applicants should also include a Curriculum Vita.

The ATA BOD will consider the applications and if necessary interview candidates. The Portfolio Directors will be appointed late December 2004. Appointments will be for a two-year period and are reviewed mid term.

The ATA is also seeking to appoint a new Director of Referees following the resignation of Barrie Keenahan.

Barrie has served the ATA and the Touch community with passion and dedication for many years and the ATA would like to thank him for his tireless efforts to develop our Touch referees.

All applications for the above positions should be addressed to:
