Board Of Management

Chairman – Michael Rush

Michael has been involved in the sport of Touch in several roles, including President of the ACT Touch Association for four years, and a Board member for eight.

Michael is a Canberra resident and a Programme Manager in the public service. He was elected to the TFA board in 2006 and with qualifications in economics hopes to contribute to TFA's strategic direction and financial management.

Director – Jane Russo

Jane is a company director and government adviser. She is a current board member of Touch Football Australia and brings her experience in the roles of club administrator and president, state chair, director of selectors and participant. She is a strong advocate of grassroots participation, leadership opportunities for women and leading change that benefits members.

Jane has a Master’s in Education Management, focusing on volunteer performance management and is a former secondary school teacher. She now works for the South Australian government and her experience has been in the areas of policy, project management, strategic planning, performance analysis, corporate reporting and governance. 

Director – Kevin ‘Jim’ Yeo

Jim has been involved in Touch Football for over 25 years. Jim is a Level 6 referee (retired), a Level 4 referee coach and course presenter, and is a member of the National Referee Panel. Jim has also been awarded with Life Membership from Mudgee Touch and Hornets Touch Associations.

Director – Barry McNamara

Barry has an extensive history of involvement in Touch Football as both a player and a referee over the past 22 years. Barry is a Level 6 referee who has attended the past three World Cups and was the Leading Senior Referee at the 2007 World Cup. In total he has represented Australia as a referee on over 65 occasions. Barry still actively referees at a local, regional, state and national level and brings a wealth of practical experience to his role on the Board.

Barry holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is Managing Director of his own management consultancy.
